Delaware cannabis business application window to open next week

The online application window for recreational marijuana business licenses in Delaware will open Aug. 19.
The Office of the Marijuana Commissioner will accept applications until Sept. 30.
Applicants that meet eligibility requirements will be entered into a lottery scheduled for late October.
The lottery will be managed by Delaware’s Office of the Marijuana Commissioner, which will issue licenses beginning in November, the Delaware News Journal said.

The planned opening of the application window is two weeks ahead of schedule, the News Journal reported. However, the original intended launch of the state’s recreational marijuana program was November 2024.
