Workers at Curaleaf Midtown, a cannabis dispensary in Phoenix, Arizona, have gone on strike after the company failed to negotiate a contract.
They are demanding better pay, benefits, working conditions, and safety, as well as the reinstatement of a recently fired worker and advancement in union contract negotiations.
This is the first strike by cannabis industry employees in Arizona.
Curaleaf said it respects the rights of team members who have chosen to be represented by a union and will negotiate with union leaders in good faith.
