Snoop Dogg played a prank on the world and it seems like it has paid off for the superstar rapper who is cashing in.

The 52-year-old musician, whose given name is Calvin Broadus, told fans on Thursday that he planned to "give up smoke," with many people assuming he meant quitting smoking weed.

The "Beautiful" rapper has long been associated with his love of weed, but he revealed days later it was all a ruse and a play on words.

In fact, Snoop had teamed up with the Solo Stove company to create his own smoke-free outdoor fireplace which has now sold out in the U.K.

Selling for $349.99 in the U.S., the fire pit features Snoop's initials and an etching of fire on the frame. In the U.S., the fire pit also comes with a limited edition bucket hat and stickers.

Snoop had announced on Instagram and X that after "much consideration and conversation with my family, I've decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time."

In light of the social media posts, weed stocks fell in value the following trading day.

But just days later, Snoop was back on social media in a video where he said he had "an announcement."

"I'm giving up smoke. I know what you're thinking, 'Snoop smoke is kind of your whole thing', but I'm done with it," the rapper said.

"I'm done with the coughing, and my clothes smelling all sticky icky. I'm gonna smokeless. Solo Stove, fix five. They take out the smoke. Clever."

Snoop appears in the video looking pensive at the beginning, but when the camera pans out to reveal he is talking about a fireplace, it shows the rapper laughing and toasting a marshmallow in the fire.

Music fans were not the only ones who believed Snoop had given up his beloved smoking of weed. Fellow rapper Meek Mill said he was inspired by Snoop's original post and planned to give up marijuana as well.

"Ima go to Dubai and completely stop smoking ... ima follow snoop, my doctor said I got a lil bit emphysema in a chest if I don't stop smoking it cuts my lifeline in half, I was addicted to the nicotine and this new weed got too many chemicals and too risky to play with my mental!" Mill wrote on X.

He also wrote: "Ima wuit once I go cold in Dubai .... Snoop start the no smoking challenge we gone follow up! It's not healthy for me!"
