Without further ado here is an in-dept article by Christy.

There was a time in my twenties when I thought I would never escape the pain. Every day felt like a cruel version of Groundhog Day—debilitating cramps that dropped me to  my knees, bleeding so heavy it left me relentlessly fatigued, digestion that refused to  cooperate, unbearable back pain that radiated through my entire body, and the crushing  anxiety of feeling like there was no relief in sight. Doctors called it endometriosis, a condition  the medical system conveniently labels “incurable”—but manageable, if I agreed to a lifelong  prescription of birth control, painkillers, and surgeries.

Yes, surgeries—plural—because even after invasive excision, the end could (and likely would)  grow back. Of course it would. That’s what happens when you don’t address why it developed  in the first place

At the time, I didn’t realize this diagnosis would become my greatest initiation. Endometriosis  shook me so hard until it cracked me wide open and taught me the most profound truth of my  life: My body was never broken—it was speaking to me.

I always tell my clients: symptoms start as whispers. If we don’t listen, they knock louder. And  if we continue to ignore them, they come screaming.

Western medicine is built on a system that treats symptoms like malfunctions—problems to be  muted, managed, cut out. But symptoms aren’t actually the problem. They are the messengers  pointing us to deeper imbalances and ultimately calling us home to ourselves. And in the case  of endometriosis, the message was crystal clear. It wasn’t just about hormones. It was about a chronically dysregulated nervous system, decades of unprocessed emotions stewing in my  tissues, and all the words I’d swallowed down to keep the peace.

This is why microdosing psilocybin became one of the most transformational tools in my  healing journey, and why it is now a core pillar of my root cause healing work with women  today.

Nearly 90% of women are struggling with hormonal imbalances, yet the conversation around  hormone health remains misguided. Here’s the truth: Hormone issues aren’t root cause issues —they’re simply downstream reflections of deeper dysfunction. If you want to truly heal you hormones, you need to address the real issues upstream like undernourishment, circadian  disruption, insulin resistance, high toxin load, sluggish drainage pathways, mismanaged stress,  and chronic nervous system dysregulation.

The future of women’s health is not about finding the next trendy hormone-balancin supplement—it’s about shifting the question from:

“What should I take to balance my hormones?”

to

“How did my hormones become imbalanced in the first place

Day after day in my practice, highly health-conscious women come to me exhausted,  frustrated, and overwhelmed despite doing everything “right.” They have cleaned up their diets, exercise consistently, followed detox protocols, taken all the right supplements, and still  find themselves trapped in paralyzing cycles of PMDD, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, fertil struggles and crippling menopausal symptoms.

Because here’s what’s missing from the conversation: hormones don’t just respond to food,  movement, and detoxification. They respond to trauma, emotional repression, and the nervous system’s perception of safety.

There’s one critical system at the root of it all: the HPA axis (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal  axis)—the command center that governs the connection between stress responses,  metabolism, and hormonal balance. When the HPA axis is chronically activated by stress,  unresolved trauma, and subconscious fear patterns, it triggers an adaptive cascade of  biochemical shifts that present as downstream hormone dysregulation.

I believe my success as a practitioner comes from my deep understanding that true healing is  not just physical—it’s profoundly emotional and energetic. Addressing this unseen inner  landscape isn’t optional; it’s the key to lasting transformation and makes up well over half of  the healing puzzle.

Women have been conditioned to operate like men in a world that glorifies logic, hustle productivity, and control. We override the cyclical essence of our feminine nature, convinced  that success, safety, and even our worthiness are tied to how much we can accomplish. But  what happens when female physiology, designed to move in cycles and seasons, is pushed  and forced to operate like a machine?

Burnout. Hormonal collapse. A hyper-vigilant nervous system locked in survival mode.

At the core of this crisis is a fundamental misalignment with our own biology. The feminine  thrives in flow, intuition, receptivity, and nourishment. Yet, modern life demands discipline rigidity, and output at all costs.

And here’s the paradox: The very women so desperate to heal often bring this same  overbearing energy of perfectionism and control into their healing journey—restricting,  obsessing, and pushing harder. I tell my students all the time:

“You Type A’d your way into this, and you can’t Type A your way out.”

This is where we shift into the yin and yang of estrogen and progesterone—the delicate dance  of building and balancing, activation and restoration, expansion and integration.

Estrogen is an anabolic hormone, or more simply stated, a building hormone. It promotes  growth and repair, supports muscle mass, cognitive function, energy, bone density, and the  uterine lining—encompassing the very yang qualities of masculine energy. Estrogen within  certain ranges is vital, however excess estrogen equals excess growth, which can result in  tumors, cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, cancers and weight gain.

A key takeaway here is that I hope all women remember: estrogen is not just a sex hormone— it’s also a stress hormone. As stress rises, so does estrogen.

Progesterone, on the other hand, is the ultimate softener—the yin to estrogen’s yang. It’s not  just a pregnancy hormone, but a hormone of resilience, adaptation, and deep restoration.  Progesterone is pro-metabolic, neuroprotective, anti-anxiety, sleep-promoting, immunomodulating, gut healing, youth enhancing, and the ultimate buffer against th destructive effects of stress hormones. It is the stabilizer, the soother, the deep exhale tha signals safety to the body.

But here’s the catch: progesterone is only produced when the body feels safe enough to  ovulate! And that’s exactly what’s missing in the modern woman—a felt sense of internal  safety. The hyper-independent, over-functioning, Type A woman is unknowingly running on  stress hormones, and her body is down-regulating progesterone in favor of survival.

Women collectively are struggling to slow down, and are stuck in a hyper-masculine energetic  loop, which continues to drive estrogen dominance and hormonal chaos. It’s impossible to heal  with the same forceful energy that made you sick in the first place, and this is how microdosing psilocybin truly takes center stage and shines.

Psilocybin doesn’t just rewire the brain—it melts the barriers, unravels the tension, and  whispers the forgotten language of surrender to the body. It dissolves the hardened edges of  survival, loosens the grip of control, and gently coaxes the nervous system out of its relentless  state of overdrive, guiding it back into the effortless rhythm of flow. It is not a battle agai imbalance, but a homecoming—a remembering of how to feel, to release, and to receive.

Because this journey is not just about hormones. It is about reclaiming the sacred intelligence  woven into our cells, restoring the energetic harmony that has always been ours, and  awakening the deep, unwavering safety of inhabiting our own bodies—fully, freely, and without  fear. The Divine Feminine.

For generations, women have been conditioned to abandon themselves—to silence their  intuition, suppress their emotions, and contort into roles that keep the world comfortable while  their bodies bear the cost. The exhaustion of over-functioning, the anxiety of perfectionism, the  invisible weight of people-pleasing—these aren’t just psychological burdens. They are the  silent architects of hormonal chaos, nervous system collapse, and the slow erosion of vitality.

As an industry-leading root cause health practitioner with over 15 years of experience in both  the physiological and energetic realms of healing, I have yet to encounter a tool as profoundly  transformative as microdosing psilocybin. While the mainstream narrative has largely framed  psilocybin as a mental health intervention, its impact extends far beyond the mind. I believe it is  the future of women’s medicine.

Psilocybin enhances neuroplasticity, rewiring the brain and liberating the nervous system from  the deeply embedded patterns of stress, fear, and self-abandonment that dysregulate  hormones at their core. When we shift out of survival mode, we don’t just feel better—we  become better. Stress hormones stabilize, progesterone production increases, inflammation cools, and symptoms that once seemed insurmountable begin to dissolve—not through  suppression, but through the body’s innate return to balance.

After supporting over 10,000 women in reclaiming abundant health, I founded MicroFlow—the  first microdosing blends intentionally designed to support women’s unique physiology Formulated by a woman, for women, these blends are calibrated at the perfect dose to foster  deep transformation while allowing you to fully engage with your daily life—whether that’s  working, parenting, creating, or simply being present with yourself in a way you never have  before.

Through the sacred practice of intentional microdosing, my community of women is achieving  breakthrough health outcomes at a rate I’ve never witnessed before. The results speak for  themselves—not just in alleviating symptoms, but in dismantling the very patterns that created  them.

For too long, women’s health has been reduced to symptom management—a prescription for  birth control, a synthetic hormone patch, a cabinet full of supplements, all attempting to patch  the cracks without ever addressing the foundation. But the future of women’s health isn’t found  in silencing symptoms—it’s in restoring the body’s intrinsic ability to heal itself.

And most importantly, let’s remember this: Microdosing isn’t about escaping. It’s about  confronting—our fears, our grief, the emotions we’ve buried for too long. It’s about coming  home to the raw, unfiltered truth of who we are. Because only in that radical honesty can true liberation begin.
