Oklahoma 2025 Medical Cannabis Sales Top $336 Million Through June, with $23.5 Million in Tax Revenue
At a 7% excise tax rate, that corresponds to approximately $56,637,514 in marijuana sales for the month of June, and roughly $336.8 million in sales so far in 2025. This maintains Oklahoma’s status as the second most robust medical-only marijuana markets in the United States, topped only by Florida. Sales in 2025 are 6% higher than the same period in 2024, despite patient counts declining over the past 12 months. June’s revenue slightly edged out totals from April and May, both of which hovered near $56 million. The steady performance is notable given the state’s ongoing decline in registered medical marijuana patients.
Despite these changes, Oklahoma’s program continues to deliver consistent monthly revenue, supported by a wide network of dispensaries and low regulatory barriers that have defined the state’s approach since the passage of State Question 788 in 2018.
All marijuana excise taxes in Oklahoma are deposited into the state’s General Revenue Fund, where they are used to help support essential government services.
