Oklahoma Recreational Cannabis Campaign Now Has Over 500 Signature Locations in Over 150 Cities
The updated count, compiled from ORCA’s interactive map of active sites, reflects a rapidly growing network of businesses and volunteers spanning the state. These locations, spread across over 150 cities, include dispensaries, smoke shops, and other community hubs that have stepped forward to host signature gathering. The widespread availability underscores how quickly the campaign’s infrastructure has expanded since launching earlier this summer. ORCA is currently collecting signatures for State Question 837, which would legalize marijuana for adults 21 and older while creating a regulated market overseen by state officials. The proposal would also allow individuals to cultivate limited amounts at home, expunge certain marijuana-related convictions, and direct tax revenue toward schools, health care, and other public services.
The group has until early next year to submit nearly 180,000 valid signatures to qualify for the 2026 general election ballot. Organizers say surpassing the 500-location mark demonstrates both the level of support from businesses across Oklahoma and the campaign’s organizational strength.
The measure has attracted attention as Oklahoma continues to operate one of the largest medical marijuana programs in the country, with over 300,000 licensed patients and monthly sales of around $50 million. Advocates argue that expanding to recreational sales would not only provide new revenue for the state but also reduce the burden on law enforcement and the courts by eliminating penalties for adult use.
With the signature drive underway and a growing statewide presence, ORCA’s campaign is now positioned as one of the most significant marijuana reform efforts in the region.
