Cannabis prices in Connecticut have fallen to $8.68 per gram, according to state data, the lowest since the adult-use market’s launch in 2023. It continues the trend of steady price declines in the state, which saw a spike from October 2023 to March 2024, a leveling out from April to July 2024, followed by a period of mostly decline.

Both adult-use and medical cannabis sales declined from August to September, with adult-use sales totaling about $17.9 million (down from $18.8 million in August), and medical cannabis sales totaling about $5.6 million, which continues the medical market’s steep decline since the launch of adult-use sales in the state.

Cannabis flower remains the dominant product category for retailers, comprising 45% of product sales in September (about $8 million), followed by vapes (34%, about $6 million), edibles (15%, about $2.8 million), and concentrates (5%, about $853,000). The shares were similar in the medical market.

In September, retailers sold 537,555 total cannabis products, while medical dispensaries sold 170,852 total products. The average product price is roughly even in both the medical and adult-use markets at $32.07 and $32.00, respectively.
