Arkansas Medical Cannabis Sales Top $25 Million in October, Reach $240.9 Million in 2025
That total is about $13 million higher than the same period in 2024, when sales reached $227.8 million. Patients bought 6,883 pounds of medical cannabis in October, resulting in $25.1 million in sales.
“In addition to the year-to-year increase in the overall spend, total pounds purchased this year are at 65,525, an increase of 3,400 pounds from 2024,” said DFA spokesperson Scott Hardin.
Statewide, there are 112,760 active patient and 38 licensed dispensaries.
Arkansas voters approved the state’s medical marijuana law in 2016. The first dispensaries opened in 2019, marking the beginning of legal sales after the state finalized its licensing system.
Under current rules, registered patients may possess up to 2.5 ounces of medical marijuana purchased from a licensed dispensary during a 14-day period.
