The Colorado Department of Revenue and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued the advisory on November 17, warning consumers that certain harvest batches sold between June 25 and November 1 may pose a health risk. Officials said one batch tested above acceptable limits for Total Yeast and Mold and Aspergillus, while another batch grown at the same time and location is being treated as potentially contaminated out of caution. The affected flower was distributed to eight retail locations. Regulators say consumers who purchased Phoenix Farmstead products should check for the cultivation license number 403R-01339 and the following harvest batches:

– Fat Bastard (10/07/24) – confirmed contaminated – Grape Ape (10/08/24) – potentially contaminated

According to state regulators, the products were sold at the following Colorado stores:

– Rocky Mountain Organics, Black Hawk – Best High (North Quince Street), Denver – Best High (Bryant Street), Denver – BGood Ventures, Englewood – The Green Depot, Denver – Green Remedy, Denver – High West Cannabis, Denver – Snaxland, Denver

State officials say customers who still have product from these batches should dispose of it or return it to the store for proper disposal. Anyone who experiences adverse health effects after using the recalled marijuana is urged to seek medical care and report the issue to the Marijuana Enforcement Division.

Phoenix Farmstead worked with state regulators to initiate a voluntary recall, which Colorado describes as part of its ongoing effort to maintain public health protections in the marijuana market.
