Maine Orders Recall of Cannabis Flower Products Due to Mold, Arsenic
- Error internal
The Maine Office of Cannabis Policy this week ordered the recall of certain batches of cannabis pre-rolls and flower produced by NorCO Outdoor Cannabis after testing revealed unsafe levels of yeast, mold, microbials, and arsenic.
The order follows the October recall of Yani-brand, NorCO Outdoor Cannabis-produced vaporizer cartridges over unsafe levels of the insecticide Chlorfenapyr. Officials said that after the first recall — which was prompted by a consumer complaint about an adverse health reaction — the agency ordered follow-up testing on other offerings from the producer.
The recall targets cannabis flower purchases of the strains Frosted Enigma and Gold Dust, and pre-roll singles and packs of Frosted Enigma, Gold Dust, Blackberry Pie, Sour Cookies, and Street Tartz. The products were available at 22 different cannabis retailers throughout Maine from October 15, 2025, to December 2, 2025.
Officials said any consumers who purchased the recalled products should either destroy them or return them to their place of purchase.
