Curaleaf Opens 160th U.S. Retail Location With New Medical Marijuana Dispensary in Florida

Curaleaf has expanded its national retail footprint with the opening of a new medical marijuana dispensary in Lauderhill, Florida, marking the company’s 160th retail location in the United States and its 71st in Florida. The new dispensary, operating as Curaleaf Lauderhill, is located at 3990 NW 16th Street and is now serving registered medical marijuana patients in the area. According to the company, the location offers a broad selection of marijuana products, including several in-house brands and Florida-specific offerings designed for the state’s medical market.

Patients visiting the Lauderhill location will have access to a range of products such as Anthem pre-rolls, Select Briq vapes, and Reef flower that is exclusive to Florida. The opening further cements Curaleaf’s position as one of the largest medical marijuana operators in the state, where competition among multi-state operators has intensified as patient enrollment continues to grow. Only MÜV (82) and Trulieve (162) have more licensed dispensaries in Florida.

The company is also planning a formal grand opening celebration on Friday, January 16, 2026. Curaleaf says the event will include giveaways, special promotions, and gifts with purchase for patients who attend, a strategy commonly used by licensed operators to build awareness and drive early foot traffic at new locations.

Florida remains a central focus for Curaleaf’s retail expansion strategy, with the state now accounting for nearly half of the company’s U.S. dispensaries. While Florida’s marijuana program is limited to medical use, it is the largest in the country by patient count, with over 930,000.

Curaleaf has indicated that it continues to evaluate opportunities to expand both within Florida and in other legal markets nationwide, as it builds out its retail network and brand presence across the country.
