Florida medical marijuana dispensaries have sold over 5.05 billion milligrams of THC and more than 1.71 million ounces of smokable marijuana so far in 2026, according to updated data from the Office of Medical Marijuana Use.

Through March 27, dispensaries have sold a combined 5,057,938,475 milligrams of THC, 8,352 milligrams of CBD, and 1,717,610.109 ounces of smokable marijuana. 870 million mgs of the THC sold, and 290,000 ounces of the smokeable marijuana sold, came over the past two weeks (March 13 to March 27)

Florida’s weekly averages has remained consistent, with dispensaries continuing to move well over 400 million milligrams of THC and roughly 140,000 to 150,000 ounces of smokable marijuana per week.

The March 27 report shows there are now 748 licensed dispensing locations statewide, an increase of 39 from March 2025.

With THC sales now surpassing 5 billion milligrams before the end of March and smokable marijuana approaching 1.75 million ounces for the year, Florida’s medical marijuana market continues to demonstrate sustained growth and remains the largest and most active in the nation.

Florida voters approved medical marijuana in 2016 through Amendment 2, with the first legal dispensaries opening shortly after as the state implemented its vertically integrated system. The program allows qualified patients to purchase a wide range of marijuana products, with smokable marijuana capped at 2.5 ounces per 35-day period unless a physician authorizes more. Florida does not impose a special statewide excise tax on medical marijuana.
