Florida’s medical marijuana market added another strong week of sales, with new data from the Office of Medical Marijuana Use showing that dispensaries sold 439,815,049 milligrams of THC and 149,389.938 ounces of smokable marijuana during the reporting period covering April 3 through April 9.

That brings Florida’s 2026 total to 5,946,524,061 milligrams of THC and 2,016,974.665 ounces of smokable marijuana, based on the newly reported weekly figures added to the year-to-date totals from the prior update. It also means Florida has now surpassed 2 million ounces of smokable marijuana sold this year, while THC sales are nearing the 6 billion milligram mark.

The latest report also shows that Florida now has 752 dispensaries open statewide, marking the first time the state has had more than 750 active dispensing locations. That is up from 749 in the prior report, with new approvals during the week including GrowHealthy in Tequesta and Trulieve locations in Lutz and Boca Raton.

Trulieve remained the state’s dominant operator in the latest weekly report, with 167 dispensing locations and 115,922,066 milligrams of THC sold, along with 52,245.380 ounces of smokable marijuana. Other top-performing operators included MÜV, Curaleaf, Ayr and Surterra, all of which posted sizable weekly totals.

The report shows there are now 929,174 active qualified patients in Florida’s medical marijuana program, a slight dip of a few hundred from the previous week.

Florida voters approved medical marijuana in 2016 through Amendment 2, and the state continues to operate under a vertically integrated system in which licensed businesses are allowed to cultivate, process and dispense marijuana products. Qualified patients may purchase smokable marijuana, which is generally capped at 2.5 ounces per 35-day period unless a physician approves more. The state does not impose a statewide excise tax on medical marijuana.
