High Tide Inc. says its 51%-owned German subsidiary distributed a record 7.6 tonnes of medical marijuana during the company’s second fiscal quarter, marking another sign of rapid growth in Europe’s largest medical marijuana market.
The Calgary-based company announced today that Remexian Pharma GmbH sold 7.6 tonnes of medical marijuana in Germany during the quarter ending April 30. The total represents the highest quarterly distribution volume in Remexian’s history, with volumes up 21% from the previous quarter and 49% from the same period last year.
“Distributing 7.6 tonnes in a single quarter is not just a record for Remexian—it is clear evidence that our model is scaling in the largest medical cannabis market in Europe,” said Raj Grover, High Tide’s founder and chief executive officer. “What we are seeing now is the direct result of pairing a leading German distribution platform with High Tide’s unparalleled procurement capabilities built over $2.2 billion of legal cannabis sales in Canada.”
High Tide said Germany imported 201.1 tonnes of medical marijuana in 2025, more than double the 72.9 tonnes imported the year prior. Canada accounted for more than 93 tonnes of that total, or nearly half of all German medical marijuana imports.
Remexian, which High Tide controls through a 51% ownership stake, imports and distributes medical marijuana throughout Germany. The company says the subsidiary has a market share exceeding 10% of tonnage imported and is licensed to import from 19 countries, including Canada.
“This level of sequential and year-over-year growth reinforces our conviction that Germany is only the beginning,” Grover said. “We are building a repeatable, capital-efficient distribution engine that can be expanded across Europe, subject to regulatory conditions.”
High Tide said the quarterly tonnage figures are preliminary and unaudited, and may change once the company finalizes its second fiscal quarter financial statements. Complete financial results for the quarter, including revenue, gross profit, net income or loss and adjusted EBITDA, are expected to be released in June.
High Tide is best known in Canada for Canna Cabana, which the company says is the second-largest marijuana retail brand globally. The chain has 221 stores in Canada, as well as one international location, and operates across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. The company says Canna Cabana holds a 12% share of Canada’s marijuana retail market.
In 2025, High Tide became the first North American marijuana operator to open a brick-and-mortar presence in Germany. Germany legalized marijuana possession and cultivation for adults in 2024, while maintaining a separate medical marijuana system that continues to rely heavily on imports.
