- Customers receive a free Skip+ membership for the summer, providing $0 delivery fees and access to premium deals, while accumulating savings that lead to rewards like WestJet points and Toronto Blue Jays tickets or jerseys.
- Skip, started in 2012 as a local Prairie startup, now operates in over 450 Canadian cities, partnering with more than 50,000 local businesses to connect Canadians with meaningful summer experiences and savings.
The moment summer arrives in Canada, calendars start filling up fast. Canadians pack their summer schedules with patio nights, cottage weekends, road trips, music festivals and Toronto Blue JaysTM games.
It’s a season built for saying yes to everything, but all that fun eats up time and money quickly. That’s the reality that Skip, Canada’s only homegrown delivery network, is stepping in to solve. Skip recently launched Summer Savings, a nationwide campaign designed to help Canadians get more out of the busy summer without shrinking their bank accounts.
Running from June 30 to Sept. 7, the campaign marks Skip’s largest collection of savings, rewards and exclusive offers to date, all built around one simple idea: the more you save, the more you summer. As part of the campaign, Skip has launched a new in-app tracker that turns savings into a summer sport. Customers can take advantage of up to 50 per cent off select restaurants like McDonald’s®, KFC and Popeyes, plus 30 per cent off or more every single Blue Jays regular season game day. From there, every dollar saved on eligible orders tracks in the app, building toward your next reward, and unlocking exclusive experiences and perks like WestJet points or the chance at scoring Toronto Blue Jays tickets or jerseys.
“Summer is when Canadians want to say yes to everything — more road trips, more concerts and more time with family — but we know those moments can add up quickly,” says Rachel MacAdam, vice-president of marketing at Skip. “Summer Savings is our biggest value commitment yet to help Canadians stretch their dollars further.”
Here’s how it works
After placing an order on Skip, Canadians are rewarded with the first perk: a free Skip+ membership for the whole summer ($9.99/month value), giving them $0 delivery fee on eligible orders, and premium deals from restaurants and retailers. From there, you watch your savings accumulate in the Summer Savings tracker as every dollar saved on eligible orders is logged, building toward the next milestone.
“As Canada’s homegrown delivery network, Skip wants to help Canadians get more out of summer,” says MacAdam. “By showing your total savings add up every time you order, we’re turning your everyday summer habits into a rewarding journey all season long.”
National deals all summer long
Skip customers will have access to premium deals from popular restaurants and retailers all summer. During the week of July 13–19, you can get a $10 off $20 voucher at McDonald’s®, a BOGO Footlong Cold Cut Combo at Subway® and a BOGO 8 Pc Nuggets deal at Popeyes.
Beginning the week of July 20–26, you can get a BOGO McChicken at McDonald’s®, and a BOGO 2 Pc Signature Chicken Combo at Popeyes. The deals during the week of July 27–Aug. 2 include a BOGO Big Mac® at McDonald’s®, BOGO Hot Wings Bucket at KFC and 40 per cent off $30-plus orders at Dollarama.
With every one of those orders your summer savings add up, pushing you closer to the next reward tier. The more you use Skip, your accumulated savings will unlock exclusive rewards and perks from partners like the Toronto Blue Jays, WestJet and Live Nation.
Skip is in your corner
It’s a fittingly Canadian approach to making the most of a season that passes by too quickly. Skip began in 2012 as a local start-up on the Prairies, but it’s since grown into one of the country’s biggest technology success stories.
Today, Skip connects millions of Canadians in more than 450 cities and towns. It maintains over 50,000 partnerships with local restaurants, grocery retailers, convenience stores and other commercial partners.
No one understands the rhythm of a Canadian summer quite like a delivery network built right here at home. Skip connects Canadians with a big Toronto Blue Jays game, intimate weekends with friends or a cottage getaway, making an impact on your calendar and savings for your wallet.
Start saving today by downloading the Skip app and placing an order to unlock your free Skip+ membership and start tracking toward exclusive rewards. To learn more about Summer Savings and see the full list of eligible offers, visit skipcanada.com.
