Washington State Generated $96.1 Million in Legal Cannabis Sales in July, $650 Million in 2026

Legal marijuana sales in Washington reached $96.11 million in July, bringing sales for the first seven months of 2026 to approximately $650 million, according to data from Headset.

The July total represents a 5.4% increase from June, although sales were down 2.4% compared with July 2025. Washington remained among the 10 largest legal cannabis markets tracked by Headset despite the year-over-year decline.

Consumers purchased more than 8.2 million marijuana products during the month, an increase of 1.3% from a year earlier. However, the average price per item declined from $12.12 in July 2025 to $11.68 in July 2026, indicating that consumers are purchasing more products while spending less on each one.

Vapor pens were Washington’s top-selling product category in July, generating $29.16 million, a 3.8% year-over-year increase. Flower followed with $26.59 million in sales, down 8.1%, while pre-roll sales reached $18.91 million, a decrease of 1.7%.

Edibles generated $10.12 million, up 1.1% from the previous year, while concentrate sales declined 6.3% to $7.34 million. Beverages accounted for another $2.71 million.

Vapor pen unit sales increased 10.6% compared with July 2025, even as the category’s average item price fell from $16.62 to $15.60. Cartridges generated approximately $15.7 million, while all-in-one disposable vapor products produced $13.5 million in sales.

Headset recorded $1.12 billion in Washington marijuana sales during the 12-month period ending in June.
