Canada Sets New Monthly Cannabis Sales Record at CA$517.8 Million in June

Legal cannabis sales in Canada reached a new monthly record in June, with retailers reporting CA$517.761 million in sales, according to newly released federal data.
The June total, released by Statistics Canada, surpassed the previous record of CA$510.367 million set in May, an increase of about 1.4%. May’s sales were originally reported at about CA$485 million before being revised upward to CA$510.367 million.

Monthly sales totaled CA$478.239 million in January, CA$439.053 million in February, CA$459.984 million in March, CA$490.789 million in April, CA$510.367 million in May and CA$517.761 million in June.
Ontario continued to account for the largest share of the market in June, with CA$193.697 million in cannabis sales. British Columbia followed with CA$87.123 million, while Alberta reported CA$83.102 million and Quebec recorded CA$70.845 million.
Manitoba generated CA$23.069 million in June sales, followed by Saskatchewan at CA$22.004 million, Nova Scotia at CA$13.211 million, Newfoundland and Labrador at CA$9.941 million and New Brunswick at CA$8.806 million.
Prince Edward Island reported CA$2.596 million, while Yukon recorded CA$1.466 million.
The figures represent unadjusted retail sales reported for cannabis retailers across Canada.
