The Director, Data Analytics & Reporting is responsible for ensuring the organization's data reporting capabilities are reliable, accurate, and scalable to meet the evolving needs of business units. This includes leading the design, creation, and implementation of data reporting solutions, dashboards, and performance metrics, with a focus on turning raw data into actionable insights. The Director will also serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring data reporting and analysis align with the organization's goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the data reporting strategy, aligning it with organizational goals and business unit needs.
- Manage a team of data professionals, providing guidance on data analysis, reporting, and professional development.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and ensure accurate, timely, and accessible reporting solutions.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of the organization's reporting environment, following best practices for data governance.
- Drive continuous improvements to reporting processes, leveraging new technologies and methodologies for increased efficiency and insight delivery.
- Partner with key business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into robust reporting solutions.
- Provide senior leadership with regular insights and analysis on key performance metrics to support strategic decisions.
- Maintain and enhance data integration processes from various data sources to support consistent and reliable reporting.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards, particularly around reporting systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within data analytics, reporting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing reporting frameworks, dashboards, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of data management principles, data modeling, and data governance.
- Hands-on experience in developing and managing reporting solutions, including automating and optimizing reporting processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams and translating business needs into technical reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices, with an emphasis on reporting environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentorship and continuous improvement.
- Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and work independently or collaboratively to meet organizational objectives.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are accurate and insightful.
