We’re growing fast and looking for a Business Development Representative (SDR/BDR) to help fuel our expansion by building relationships with potential partners and qualifying new opportunities for our sales team

What You’ll Do:
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be the tip of the spear for Leafly’s revenue team—finding, qualifying, and nurturing opportunities with cannabis brands, retailers, and partners. You’ll use a mix of research, outreach, and hustle to help our sales team drive growth in this emerging, high-potential market.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Prospect new cannabis businesses via outbound outreach (cold email, calls, LinkedIn, etc., 50 – 70 calls/emails per day) to generate and qualify leads
  • Set up discovery calls and demos for Market Managers & Account Directors through outbound outreach and inbound lead follow-up
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cannabis retailers, brands, and operators
  • Collaborate with sales team to create strategic outreach campaigns and hand off qualified opportunities
  • Conduct needs assessment conversations to understand business goals and pain points
  • Stay informed on cannabis industry trends, state-by-state regulations, and Leafly’s competitive edge
  • Keep detailed records of interactions and lead progress in CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce)
  • Research and add new, relevant brands and partners to Leafly’s database
  • Gather marketplace intel and share feedback with the product and marketing teams
What We're Looking For:
  • Must be able to work M-F 9am-6pm Central Time
  • 1–3 years of experience in a sales or sales/business development role
  • Experience in cannabis or SaaS sales a major plus
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Highly motivated with a self-starter mindset and a competitive edge
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, quota-driven environment
  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple conversations and move leads through a pipeline
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a business-related field preferred

Seattle Pay Range
$52,000 - $65,000 On Target Earnings ($20/hr-$25/hr base salary with potential to earn $10.4k-$13k in variable incentive compensation)
Salary will be adjusted based on geographic location.
