Site Reliability at Leafly is a wide-reaching discipline, ranging from infrastructure provisioning and management, to building robust CI/CD pipelines, to participating directly in technical design processes with the broader Engineering department. We’re a small team that values individual perspectives, insights, and contributions. Our goal is to enable our product engineering teams to build the best cannabis resource in the world.

Technologies we use include:
  • Infrastructure & Ops: Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, AWS, Cloudflare, GitHub
  • Data & Caching: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, Kafka
  • Monitoring & Observability: Datadog, Sumo Logic
  • Frontend & Backend: TypeScript/Next.js, Ruby on Rails
What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain core Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system resiliency, cost efficiency, and developer ergonomics.
  • Build tooling and automation that eliminates toil for yourself and other engineers.
  • Participate in code and design reviews with product teams to provide guidance and support.
  • Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting services and infrastructure using tools like Datadog and Sumo Logic.
  • Participate in the SRE on-call rotation.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in SRE or SE roles
  • Solid knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes, other cloud providers a plus
  • Working understanding of DNS, TLS, and HTTP(S) protocols
  • Prior experience running applications in a Linux environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with at least one programming language, ideally TypeScript/JavaScript, Ruby, or Python
  • Experience with Terraform or other IaC tooling

Seattle, WA Pay Range
$128,000-$166,000 salary per year
Salary will be adjusted based on geographic location.
