Job Summary
The Key Account Manager (KAM) plays a pivotal role in cultivating and sustaining high-impact relationships across designated on- and off-premise accounts within the market. This role is responsible for driving distribution, promotional execution, and pricing strategies, while also influencing key retail partners through clear communication and consistent engagement. Success in this position requires a sharp understanding of industry best practices, competitive dynamics, and evolving craft beer trends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive account management, executing corporate programs and brand promotions with precision and consistency across assigned accounts.
  • Foster strong collaboration with local wholesaler and field sales teams to align execution priorities, amplify focus on strategic initiatives, and ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate performance across key accounts and uncover opportunities for volume growth and market penetration.
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to craft and implement tailored marketing and advertising strategies for priority chain accounts.
  • Monitor and analyze territory sales performance to inform strategic planning and guide daily execution priorities.
  • Provide accurate forecasting to operations teams to ensure reliable product availability and support demand planning.
  • Act as a Category Captain by providing leadership, insights, and strategic guidance within the category.
  • Execute distribution, promotional, and pricing strategies to maximize brand visibility and sales performance.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Effective communication, presentation, follow-up, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • High level of expertise in analyzing information and making informative based recommendations.
  • Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in office-related software.
  • Thorough knowledge of company products and industry best practices (beer and merchandise).
  • Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software and measures is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
  • Passion and knowledge of the beverage/alcohol industry.
Education and Experience Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
Physical Requirements:
  • Conducts work in a sitting position primarily; however, this job requires walking, bending, stooping, and lifting.
  • Significant travel and driving can be expected (up to 75%).
