The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of quality systems to ensure that all products meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in conducting audits, managing product quality complaints, verifying production documentation, and coordinating third-party testing for stability and shelf-life validation. The Quality Technician will contribute to the continual improvement of quality and compliance across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complaint & Defect Tracking
- Receive, document, triage, and track product complaints and defect rates using Quality Management System (QMS) software.
- Analyze trends and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve recurring issues.
- Support development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc QA audits to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and company policies.
- Assist Site Quality Managers with identifying non-conformances and verifying resolution effectiveness.
- Perform routine QA/QC tests on site, including ATP swabbing, water activity (aW) and moisture content (MC) testing, and sanitation validation.
- Help maintain QMS documentation and software tools.
- Support processes related to document control, non-conformance tracking, training records, CAPAs, and audit logs.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of all quality records.
- Review and verify batch records, production logs, and supporting QA documentation.
- Ensure records meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Conduct incoming inspections of raw materials and packaging components.
- Identify and report non-conformances, and work with suppliers or internal teams to resolve issues.
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Manager or Director of Operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of experience in a quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing environment (preferably in food, pharmaceutical, or cannabis industries).
- Experience with GMP, QMS systems, and basic quality auditing preferred.
- Working knowledge of QA/QC principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with quality testing methods (e.g., aW/MC testing, ATP swabbing).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QMS software platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
$22 - $22 an hour

Environmental Factors:
This position requires working in an environment that has a high amount of plant matter and pollen. Areas of the facility reach high/low temperatures with high humidity levels. Employees may have exposure to conditions such as dust, plant matter, and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin, depending on department job assignments. Employees are required to wear protective gear and have the option to wear eye and ear protection. Certain areas of the facility use harsh chemicals for cleaning such as bleach and can have repetitive movements. Employees should be comfortable and capable of working under all of the above conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to push, pull, lift, or move a minimum of 50lbs
- Capable of sitting, standing kneeling, bending, squatting, and/or walking for extended periods of time
- Capable of using hands and fingers to touch, handle, feel and pick
- Ability to work with hazardous chemicals (butane, propane, etc.) following strict safety guidelines
- Utilize chemicals (such as bleach) to clean and maintain facility/equipment
- Must wear PPE (clothing protection), close-toed non-slip shoes, and optional ear/eye protection
