Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager is a salaried, full-time leadership position responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations across the facility. This role ensures optimal performance of equipment, systems, and personnel through strategic planning, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Manager leads the department in a cost-effective, safe, and efficient manner, reporting directly to the Director of Operation and collaborating cross-functionally with production, safety, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Department Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage the Maintenance team, setting departmental goals aligned with company objectives.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for maintenance performance, cost control, and safety compliance.
- Technical Oversight
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, including PLC systems and I/O devices.
- Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of critical equipment failures during production.
- Ensure all repairs and installations meet regulatory and company standards.
- Preventative & Predictive Maintenance
- Manage and optimize preventative maintenance schedules and documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and inspections on capital and production equipment.
- Utilize CMMS or other systems to track work orders, asset history, and maintenance metrics.
- Team Development & Supervision
- Recruit, train, and mentor Maintenance Technicians and Supervisors.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and career development planning.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and company standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure team members are properly trained in equipment safety and emergency procedures.
- Operational Support
- Coordinate emergency repairs and provide hands-on support when needed.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support new equipment installations and upgrades.
- Approve departmental schedules and staffing plans to meet operational demands.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on department performance and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance, preferably in brewing, beverage, or manufacturing environments. 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Education: Technical degree or diploma in Industrial Systems, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Certifications: OSHA, PLC programming, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Other Requirements: Must be 21, and be available for night/weekend shifts as needed.
