About the Role

Sanctuary Medicinals is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our Miami team. The AGM plays a critical role in supporting the General Manager (GM) with daily operations, team leadership, and maintaining best-in-class patient experience.

This position requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates strong operational acumen, and helps drive results while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture. In the absence of the GM, the AGM will serve as the acting leader, ensuring continuity of operations and upholding Sanctuary’s standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the General Manager to oversee daily dispensary operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and exceptional patient service.
  • Support and develop team members, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and coaching to enhance performance and career growth.
  • Assist in managing financial performance, including sales goals, labor budgets, and inventory controls.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and engagement that aligns with Sanctuary’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team success and identify areas for operational improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and all state compliance regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment that reflects the Sanctuary brand and provides an optimal experience for patients and employees.
  • Act as the GM’s delegate in their absence, ensuring consistent leadership, communication, and decision-making.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the GM regarding team performance, operational processes, and business improvements.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, promoting professionalism, compassion, and product knowledge in every interaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Management, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, ideally in a regulated or high-volume retail environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with a focus on motivating and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, manage budgets, and achieve performance goals.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, adaptable approach.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining attention to detail and compliance.
