Sanctuary Medicinals in Apopka, FL is looking for one IT - Low Voltage Installer (Security & Access control & CCTV) to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hard-working. We’re seeking a hands-on Low Voltage Installer who specializes in security systems, door access control, camera installations, and structured cabling. You’ll complete work orders from intake to closeout, run and terminate cable, install and configure devices and panels, and document everything with neat, code-conscious workmanship. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, organized, communicates clearly, and is comfortable on ladders, lifts, and in ceiling spaces.

Responsibilities:

Work Orders & Site Visits

●    Triage, schedule, and complete low-voltage work orders; capture photos, notes, materials, and labor for closeout.

●    Coordinate with site managers; follow change/approval procedures.

Cabling & Pathways

●    Pull, label, dress, and terminate Cat6/Cat5e and security cable; test and certify drops; maintain clean rack/cable management.

●    Work safely on ladders/lifts and in overhead/tight spaces; use fish tape, pull strings, and basic hand/power tools.

Door Access Control

●    Install, wire, and service access control devices: readers, REX/PIRs, door contacts, maglocks/electric strikes, power supplies, and relays.

●    Mount and power controllers/hubs; land wiring neatly; assist with basic provisioning and user/door schedules.

CCTV / Cameras

●    Mount and aim IP cameras; plan fields of view; weatherproof exterior penetrations and junctions.

●    Bring cameras online via PoE; assist with NVR/recording retention, user access, and alerting.

Security Systems (as needed)

●    Pull and terminate security/home-run wiring; land zones at panels; perform continuity and voltage checks.

●    Document device locations and panel terminations for as-builts.

Documentation & Inventory

●    Keep device lists, IP plans, and diagrams current; track parts used and costs; label everything consistently.

Safety & Compliance

●    Follow OSHA/PPE best practices and jobsite safety; adhere to low-voltage/NEC-adjacent guidelines and company standards.

What We’re Looking For (Required)

●    2–4+ years installing low-voltage systems (security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling).

●    Proven ability to run/terminate Cat6 and security wire to standard; label, test, and certify.

●    Hands-on experience with access control hardware (maglocks/electric strikes, readers, REX) and power/relay basics (12/24VDC, PoE).

●    IP camera installation experience (mount, aim, focus) and bringing devices online to an NVR or VMS.

●    Comfortable on tall ladders/lifts and in ceilings; able to work outdoors in heat/cold.

●    Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

●    Valid driver’s license; ability to maintain a basic installer tool kit.

●    Willingness to travel (occasionally up to ~1 week).

Preferred Knowledge

●    Ubiquiti/UniFi (Protect, Access, PoE switching) or similar ecosystems (Hanwha, Hikvision, Axis, Verkada, etc.).

●    Basic network familiarity (IP addressing, PoE budgets, VLAN concepts) for device bring-up.

●    Reading one-line diagrams and door schedules; using a multimeter and toner/tracer.

●    BICSI/ESA/CompTIA or manufacturer training/certifications a plus.

Physical Requirements

●    Lift/carry 50+ lbs; frequent ladder/lift use and overhead work; occasional confined-space tasks.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday–Friday; weekends/on-call as needed; travel up to 1 week when required
