Reports to: District Manager

Position Overview:

The Store Manager will own the daily operations of the store by ensuring a positive customer and employee experience that drives sales and profitability for the location. The Manager will be expected to lead by example, develop and manage a high performing team, and ensure compliance with state and local cannabis regulations. The Manager will establish best practices and an exceptional retail experience that enhances customer satisfaction and brand loyalty while achieving aggressive sales goals and KPIs.  This position is located at our Green Solution dispensary located on Colfax ave. in Aurora, CO.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Own store budget, drive sales performance and identify opportunities and strategies to meet or exceed performance metrics
  • Manage the operation of the store and team members including but not limited to overall store presentation and condition and addressing any issues in a timely manner
  • Foster a positive work environment and own all people leadership activities including, but not limited to, performance management, payroll & scheduling, recruiting & hiring, training & onboarding
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with all relevant partners and stakeholders including, but not limited to, HR, Compliance, and Finance
  • Ensure all transactions and operations comply with local, state, and company regulations
  • Ensure all aspects of inventory management comply with local, state, and company regulations, including but not limited to: ensuring inventory movement is properly documented; conduct regular audits; lead month/quarter/year-end inventory processes
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand; analyze sales reports and market trends to ensure appropriate product offerings
  • Lead by example in curating an exceptional customer experience, including performing guest transactions, and educating customers and employees on cannabis products, usage methods, and safety
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer and employee engagement
  • Manage and respond to escalated customer issues as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age
  • At least 3+ years of retail management or supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build and manage high performing teams
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how to measure success through KPIs and financial targets
  • Ability to hold self and others accountable
  • Customer and team focused with the ability to deescalate situations and resolve conflict in a timely manner
  • Collaborative team player who partners with stakeholders as appropriate (including HR, Finance, and Operations)
  • Experience with and strong attention to detail in cash handling, inventory, and POS operations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Additional Abilities Required:

This role is performed in a traditional retail setting which requires the ability to have a high stress tolerance and be flexible and adaptable. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, use hands to perform manual tasks, use computer equipment such as POS and email, and lift or move up to 50 pounds (or more with assistance). Must be able to speak and communicate verbally with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
