JOB SUMMARY

The IPM Lead works in conjunction with IPM and Cultivation Management, overseeing all Integrated Pest Management activities. Eliminates and controls undesirable insects, with infrequent supervision. The IPM Lead is versed in proper application methodology including calibration, application procedures and insect, arachnid, vertebrate, and pathogen identification.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Apply IPM products including sprays and biological control agents.
  • Scouting all cultivation areas for signs and symptoms of pests, pathogens, and other plant health issues.
  • Identify insects, arthropods, vertebrates, and other pests.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair IPM equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate scheduling of work orders with Cultivation Management
  • Stay current on practices and all local, state, and federal codes and regulations related to IPM in agriculture.
  • Ensure timely submission of all required records.
  • Implement quality standards; conducts and documents follow-up inspections.
  • Complete required training to maintain any applicable commercial applicators licenses.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to IPM Technicians
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Respond to reports of IPM issues reported by cultivation.
  • Maintain effective written and oral communication with IPM/Cultivation Management
  • Follow standard operating procedures for assigned tasks and projects and follow all safety protocol.
  • Maintain cleanliness of cultivation areas and ensure sanitation procedures are being closely followed.
  • Work in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Maintain compliance with company SOPs and report changes or updates to management as needed.
  • Additional ad hoc projects, tasks, and responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to identify insects, arthropods, vertebrates, and other pests and pathogens and create treatment plans based on physiology.
  • Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of a commercial grow
  • Display accountability, proactive behavior, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedure
  • Well organized and ability to keep deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Full knowledge of all applicable law, regulations, and requirements to always keep the facility at 100% compliance, this includes being up to date on any changes to current applicable laws/regulations
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operation.
  • Must be able to internalize training and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
