We are currently searching for a driven professional to join our Risk Management Team in the position of Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk. In this role you will report into the Vice President, Compliance, Risk and Assurance and be a vital member within the team, supporting senior leadership with key programs including our corporate compliance and risk management frameworks. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring Aurora’s global compliance framework in a manner that promotes operational efficiency, ensures information reliability, and exceeds compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will have the opportunity to work broadly across the function on a variety of projects and partner with the business to implement risk strategies and controls.
As a Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management you will...
- Work with senior management to execute on the Company’s strategic priorities, including strengthening governance, risk and compliance management and oversight policies and practices as part of 2nd line management support within the Company’s Compliance, Risk and Assurance function.
- Working directly with the VP, Compliance, Risk and Assurance, effectively partner with senior management and business leaders to define priority risks to the Company’s strategic priorities and collaborate to execute on compliance and risk management initiatives.
- Communicate with senior management and the Audit Committee in both verbal and written formats regarding progress made with respect to both the Company’s ERM framework and compliance and risk management initiatives.
- Regularly demonstrate proficiency in data and information analysis, and supporting the business through advice and consultation, recommendations to improve business practices, and support with implementation of compliance and risk management initiatives
If you we be great if you have…
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or relevant discipline
- A minimal 5 years of experience with leading corporate compliance, risk management, and governance and control functions in a highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, consumer products, food and beverage, or other manufactured goods
- Strong knowledge of the leading practice compliance, internal control and risk management frameworks (such as but not exclusive to GACP, GMP, COSO, ISO, PCI, or HITRUST CSF) with experience implementing risk management processes and / or executing on strategic risk management initiatives
- Prior experience leading sustainable change through the implementation of governance, risk and compliance practices or improvements for companies with Canadian- or US-based operations and workforce, with international subsidiaries
Bonus Points if you have...
- Experience working with Sage X3 and in the cannabis industry with a proficiency in cultivation and manufacturing knowledge
- CPA (CA, CMA, or CGA) designation
- A relevant risk management designation such as CRMA, CRM, etc.
- You have exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record navigating change and driving business value
- You have excellent attention to detail with the ability to review complex sets of data and transform information into valuable insights
- You have impeccable organizational skills with the aptitude to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
