The Opportunity
As Medical Marketing Manager you will play a highly visible role on the both the Canadian Medical Cannabis and Trade Marketing teams. The manager will lead the execution of marketing strategy, support the delivery of innovative digital and print marketing campaigns, and build upon objectives as set out by the Senior Manager for the Spectrum Therapeutics brand. The ideal candidate for this role is strategic, creative, sharp and will work to drive a leadership medical positioning for Canada.
Responsibilities
Brand Stewardship & Differentiation
Contribute on an ongoing basis to the development of the medical cannabis brand strategy, leading the development and execution of brand positioning, acquisition strategy, and tactical plans.
Ensure brand consistency and clarity across all touchpoints; strengthen customer education and trust by reinforcing clear brand identities.
Translate brand strategy into actionable plans, positioning and go-to-market activities
Oversee and guide the execution of brand and product marketing plans that directly support Sales team
Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain alignment between brand architecture, product development and evolving business priorities.
Sales Enablement
Manage new product introductions into the medical store, including developing the strategic rationale and business case. Manage the cross functional launch teams, including IT, creative, supply, digital and external agency.
Deliver sales tools, decks, and product one-pagers aligned with launch timelines to sales team to support in-market performance.
Standardize & Oversee a repeatable sales readiness process ensuring the right tools reach the team at the right time.
Continuously monitor and refine marketing materials to ensure alignment with evolving sales and category strategies.
Maintain Sales as a core stakeholder — ensure Product & Marketing leads align on priorities.
Oversee a cross-functional launch template to unify all teams (Marketing, Sales, Product, E-commerce) under a single GTM framework
Product Marketing and Internal Documentation
Develop and manage changes to regulatory documents such as Medical Documents and registrations.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and Agency Partners to deliver impactful and insight-driven campaigns and collateral for patients, HCPs, veterans and clinics.
Ensure that all marketing activities follow regulatory and legal requirements.
Partner with the sales force to ensure materials are appropriate and effective and that the team has a clear Plan of Action.
Focus on product-level differentiation to drive awareness and trial within the Spectrum shop. Ensure key product messages are effectively communicated to patients, clinics and educators.
Manage the Medical Marketing budget.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a successful Associate Manager in the healthcare, consumer package goods or cannabis industries.
Demonstrated proficiency in project management with strong ability to manage details across teams.
Excellent analytical and strategic skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures, and disciplines.
Strategic capabilities with ability to conceive, develop and implement multidimensional marketing and business plans.
Strong and proven digital marketing capabilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proven record of leading brand/franchise growth.
Knowledge and experience in medical cannabis or healthcare professional marketing are considered strong assets.
